Seller's comments and description: it had a standard transmission, which was difficult for them to drive. So they towed in on a car dolly, and only drove it when necessary, at campgrounds, to town, to the showers, etc. It was bought for this purpose, as evidenced by the lack of a radio. It has a radio delete plate and a plug where the antenna would have been installed. When they would come home from a trip, the motorhome, and the bug, would go into a storage building on their property, and await the next trip. When they could no longer drive the motorhome, they simply left it in the building, along with the bug. A number of years ago, they gave this puppy to a granddaughter. She drove it a couple times, didn't like it (no stereo and a stick shift), so back into storage it went. Upon their passing, their grandson took it upon himself to deal with the motorhome and bug. He sold the motorhome, cleaned up the beetle, and that's when i heard about it. I new the grandson, but was not aware that he had this jewel.
